- Peter Gleason — got 35,000 votes against Cy Vance in the last race for DA
- "Equal protection and due process are the cornerstone of our criminal justice system," Gleason said.
- "Unfortunately, it appears that certain people have elevated rights with the Manhattan District Attorney's office," he added. "This is unacceptable."
- In 2015, Gleason detailed in court papers the close relationship between the DA's office, Thomas (Toby) Thatcher's former investigations firm (Thatcher Associates LLC) and the case against his client, the alleged former mistress of Yankees general manager Brian Cashman. Thatcher Assocaites had donated over $50,000 to Vance's campaign and had delivered evidence against the defendant.
- Gleason said he welcomes a debate against the incumbent DA and a sit down with the city's editorial boards to discuss his positions.
